Tooth whitening is a popular way of restoring the colour of your teeth, transforming your smile and increasing your confidence. Our teeth become naturally discoloured as we age; however, teeth whitening procedures at our practice will last up to 10 years – depending on your lifestyle. Therefore, teeth whitening is a great way to maintain your youthful appearance.
We will first consult with you to determine if you are suitable for teeth whitening. If we discover any issues, these will need to be attended to before teeth whitening can be done.
At Helderberg Dentists, we use the revolutionary Zoom® Teeth Whitening method. This involves applying a protective gel over the teeth before the whitening agent is coated to the front of the teeth. We then shine a laser light over the whitening agent to activate it.
Sessions usually take around 1 hour in total.

Each individual is different, so results may show up at different times. However, it's common to see a lighter shade immediately after the first session and increasingly in the days afterwards.
